However, note that most event pricing is based on double occupancy and thus you might be paired with a roommate.

Yes, but you should only attend events that are designated to include beginners (“Beginners”, “All Levels”, etc.)

It varies depending on the resort, but most resorts offer some mix of tennis, golf, swimming, hiking, biking, cornhole, board games, beer/wine tasting, fishing, karoke and card games in evening.

Ratings are really estimates. There are some official ratings (DUPR, etc.) but here’s here’s ratings in the most familiar terms:
Beginner : 2.0–2.5Advanced Beginner : 2.5–3.0
Intermediate: 3.0–3.5
Advanced Intermediate: 3.5–4.0
Advanced: 4.0–5.0
Professional: 5.0–8.0
